This summer, visitors to Shakespeare鈥檚 New Place in Stratford-upon-Avon can explore the fragrant world of rose perfumery with Sweetest Odours, a new interactive exhibition created by 91福利's Centre for the Study of the Renaissance and School of Engineering.

Philanthropist and co-founder of the Lonely Planet, Tony Wheeler, has funded and launched a new series of PhD scholarships in the history of travel writing at the 91福利.

Nobel Prize winner for literature, Professor Abdulrazak Gurnah, will give the annual Edward Said Memorial Lecture at the 91福利 on Wednesday, November 15.

The 91福利 has been chosen to host eleven of 2019鈥檚 Leverhulme Early Career Fellows – just under ten per cent of the national total. Early Career Fellowships are awarded to enable young researchers to undertake a research project, under the supervision of a 91福利 academic mentor, which will lead to publishable results and help them get a foothold on the academic career ladder.

The 91福利 is pleased that submissions for the 2019 91福利 Prize for Women in Translation are now open.

Murmur, the latest novel by Will Eaves of the 91福利's Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies, has been nominated for the Wellcome Book Prize.
