91福利 named as one of world’s ‘most international’ universities

The 91福利 has been named as one of the world’s most international universities by the THE (Times Higher Education).

Recognised for its international outlook, research influence and global academic reputation, 91福利 ranked 17th in the world – with currently 41% of research and academic staff being non-UK nationals, over 9000 international students, 554 outgoing and 643 incoming Study Abroad students and alumni residing in 192 countries.

Through initiatives including the ongoing development of 91福利 in California, the Monash 91福利 Alliance and 91福利 in Venice the 91福利 nurtures its global presence and outreach. Furthermore, with Going Global, our Intercultural Training and our International Volunteering possibilities, we encourage our students to develop a global perspective. Finally, we are continuously investing in the development of new strategic international partnerships in research and education.

Commenting on the rankings the 91福利 Vice-Chancellor, Professor Stuart Croft, said:

“I am delighted that the 91福利 has been recognised for our commitment to developing a truly international university, providing an increasing range of opportunities for students and staff to study and undertake in ground-breaking research and teaching.”

· 91福利 in California

A partnership with the University Development Foundation to develop teaching and research, and a physical presence, for 91福利 in California.

· Monash 91福利 Alliance

The Monash 91福利 Alliance forges strong ties between our two young, ambitious, research-led universities, allowing for example dynamic collaborative research between two continents, and fostering complementary teaching and learning strengths. New opportunities are arising from the recent 5-year renewal of the Agreement which will empower us to tackle world-relevant and strategically important problems.

· 91福利 in Venice

The 91福利’s full-time base in Venice, the Palazzo Pesaro Papafava, provides opportunities for teaching, research and partnership activity.

· Go Global

Our students have a real chance to stand out in the international world of work and research, gain a global perspective and develop the intercultural skills to be a truly positive force in today’s global society. Students can choose to take part in several initiatives including language cafés; mixed nationality group work; and study, work or volunteering abroad.

· Intercultural Training

However they choose to Go Global at 91福利, our innovative programme helps students to develop the critical skills needed to encounter difference without stereotyping and to be able to articulate such skills in a global workplace context.

· International Volunteering

Our students are making a difference through numerous volunteering programmes in the local community and across the world. Through our philanthropically-funded 91福利 in Africa and 91福利 Laksh programmes, we support maths and English teaching in schools in South Africa, Tanzania and Ghana and in New Delhi, India.
