Tabula 2019.7.2 released

We released Tabula 2019.7.2 on Thursday 11 July 2019. This release incorporates:

  • Some bug fixes.
  • Various improvements, including:
    • The ability for markers and moderators to filter submissions based on the 'disability disclosed' flag.
    • Better performance of the Small Group Teaching attendance page when there is a large number of groups, students and events.
    • A departmental setting to pre-select "F" as the grade for a submission when the mark is 0.
    • Further enhancements to the accessibility of Tabula for those using only a keyboard.
  • A new feature in Small Group Teaching which enables you to link students to groups via a SITS query, rather than assessment components. The SITS query method is now the default and includes all students registered on the module for which the groups are created. Note that SITS linking will be re-enabled in Tabula on 1 August, for the start of the new SITS academic year.
  • Further work on the upcoming Mitigating Circumstances functionality.

  • A banner at the top of Tabula will show that you are not in the current year when you've navigated away. This banner provides a link to get back to the current academic year.
  • When you edit a monitoring point such that a student is automatically recorded as 'Missed' based on Small Group Teaching event attendance, we now add an attendance note. This note combines the attendance notes from the relevant SGT events.

Tabula 2019.6.3 released

We released Tabula 2019.6.3 on Thursday 20 June 2019. This release includes some bug fixes and improvements, including:

  • A staff member who is related to a group of students can now schedule a meeting with them as a group
  • When you edit a monitoring point, Tabula now suggests changes to the attendance for any affected students. For example, if you change a point from 'Standard' to 'Meeting', students who meet the conditions to be automatically marked as ‘attended’ are shown. You can then choose to apply the suggested changes or not. We will show how this works at the next Tabula User Group meeting.
  • We have made the email notifications sent to markers clearer. We now provide the numbers of students who:
    • Have submitted
    • Have not submitted but have an extension

SiteBuilder 2.415 released

We released SiteBuilder 2.415 on Friday 14 June 2019. This version includes a bug fix and some accessibility improvements, including:

  • When you edit pages which are publicly viewable, you are now alerted to the need for the content to comply with accessibility legislation.
  • The functionality to display a text-only version of a page has been removed following advice from JISC. This is because such pages can actually offer a worse experience for users with visual impairments or those unable to use a mouse.
  • It is now easier to navigate forms using a keyboard.
  • Links within pop-up help boxes are now underlined.
