Release notes for web applications

SiteBuilder 2.398 released

We released SiteBuilder 2.398 on Monday 17 September 2018.

This version contains two changes to forms:

  • By default, form submission data including file attachments are excluded from email notifications. You can override this setting in the form properties.
  • You can specify the width of text boxes as a percentage of the overall page width.

We've also made two changes to help you when restructuring sites:

  • Pages locked by other editors no longer prevent you from reordering pages.
  • When you're about to rename a page, SiteBuilder shows you a list of all forwarding pages below the current page, if any, that will be affected. The list can help you identify and fix any broken forwarding pages caused by the rename.

We fixed a bug that prevented you from uploading multiple files when one of the files already exists on the Files tab. Now you can overwrite existing files and upload new files in the same operation.

Also, it's now possible to copy a custom template successfully.

SiteBuilder 2.396 released

We released SiteBuilder 2.396 on Tuesday 4th September 2018.

There have been a number of fixes and improvements in this version.

One notable improvement is the change to SiteBuilder Forms and submission data sent via email notifications about the form submission.

Although forms are already in HTTPS for added security, submission data that came back, which may contain sensitive or personal data, was being forwarded via email notification to the admins and sending this type of data this route may not be the most secure method.

Therefore we have now changed how this works. The function is turned off by default, but can be enabled where required in the Form Properties.

As it is turned off by default, and this is not an issue for you, you should still receive the email notifications about the form, but the email will no longer contain the submission data. However we realise it would cause problems for many if this option were unilaterally disabled. Therefore if you still need to use it, go to the form properties and check the box to 'Include submission data in email'. A warning modal displays to advise about the security risk and you confirm to continue.
