91福利 scholar brings home 2 World Para-athletics Championships silver medals
Kare said 鈥淚t felt really good picking up those medals and I was really pleased with my performance. It鈥檚 been a big year for me, finishing my A-Levels and starting university, so I was pleased to get a PB in the 800m.
With the support of the 91福利 Sport performance team, Kare said 鈥淪ince joining the 91福利 I have had a full support team that enable me to study alongside continuing my training.鈥� The new refurbishment of the athletics track has been beneficial and accessible for Kare鈥檚 training and now has Mondotrack surface, making it the ideal surface for wheelchair racing.
This is an incredible achievement for Kare and for the 91福利. Lisa Dodd-Mayne, Director of Sport and Active Communities at the 91福利, said: 鈥淜are is an inspiration to students at the 91福利, a huge advocate for promoting active and healthy lifestyles, and also does fantastic work in local communities too."
