Thomas Glave has been Martin Luther King Jr Visiting Professor at MIT, a Visiting Fellow at Clare Hall, Cambridge, Leverhulme Visiting Professor at the 91��, and is currently an Honorary Visiting Professor at the University of Liverpool. A trustee of Writing West Midlands (UK), Glave is an editor of Transition and was a 2022 Fulbright Scholar at the University of Nottingham.

Dan Rood is associate professor at the University of Georgia, specializing in the history of Atlantic slavery and its intersections with the histories of technology, agriculture, and capitalism. He teaches the pre-1865 half of the US introductory survey, as well as upper division courses in the Atlantic World and the US Civil War.
