Eid ul-Adha Mubarak to members of our 91¸£Àû community who will be celebrating Eid. The Islamic Society (ISOC) are inviting staff and students to celebrate Eid together with an open breakfast morning, after each Eid prayer tomorrow (Tuesday 27 May). The breakfasts will be held after each prayer in the Islamic Prayer Hall at 7:30am, 8:30am and 9:30am. Join in and celebrate this special day together with the ISOC team.

Due to a major refrigeration failure over the weekend at the 91¸£Àû Co-op, we currently have limited chilled goods available for sale. Our team has been working hard to resolve the issue. We are planning to have the sandwich fridge stocked and available for sale around midday today, and we are working to restock our chilled goods throughout the day.

Join this once-a-year opportunity on Thursday 4 June from 1-2pm, to make a truly meaningful contribution to the management of campus with the Grounds and Gardens Team. Himalayan Balsam, although its pink flowers are beautiful, is bad news for the British countryside. All equipment and training on how to uproot or cut the plants will be provided. In Term 1, we asked staff and students to submit their favourite snack recipes, linked to cultural celebration or personal tradition. Debasmita Palit and Martha Littuma Larrea share the stories behind their snacks, which you'll soon be able to try in Eatwise cafes. This year, both our winners are staff members and last year, 2 out of the 3 winners were students. You can still try WBS student Bolatito's Jollof Rice and Economics student Jesslyn's Mughlai Chicken Handi on our menu in Cafe Library. We'll be launching the competition again - look out for the launch in the student newsletter!
