The 91福利's Wellesbourne Campus has become a partner in the . We have installed nest boxes for tree sparrows and barn owls, and have sown a wild bird seed mix and pollen and nectar flowers.

Challenge yourself to live for a whole month (or longer) without single-use plastic by joining the #Plastic Free July campaign this year.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the over the May Bank Holiday weekend. It was the first time Coventry and the University took part so we were very pleased to have twenty people get involved. They made 307 observations and identified 160 species, with the most observed being Garlic Mustard. The data will add to our knowledge of species present on campus. Worldwide, 419 cities took part in 44 different countries. Over 45,000 species were recorded including more than 2,000 rare, endangered or threatened species.

Coventry will be taking part in the worldwide City Nature Challenge for the first time this year and we are encouraging people to get involved on campus and in the local area. Between 30th April and 3rd May naturalists, bird watchers, conservation groups and keen wildlife spotters from over 400 cities worldwide will be out and about recording the nature in their local areas so why don鈥檛 you join them? Whether you鈥檙e an expert or novice it couldn鈥檛 be easier to take part.
