No Mow May
The University will be taking part in initiative for the fourth time this year. Areas across campus will be left unmown during the month of May to give wildflowers a chance to bloom, which in turn provide a feast for pollinators, tackle pollution and lock away atmospheric carbon below ground. It's Fashion Revolution Week!
One of the manifesto points of Fashion Revolution week is that 鈥渇ashion never unnecessarily destroys or discards but mindfully redesigns and recuperates in a circular way. Fashion is repaired, reused, recycled and upcycled. Our wardrobes and landfills do not overflow with clothes that are coveted but not cherished, bought but not kept.鈥 Check out what you can do on campus to reduce your fashion waste.
City Nature Challenge
Do you live in Coventry or 91福利shire and enjoy spending time in nature? If so, the is the perfect event for you! There are a number of , including some on campus, and we鈥檇 love for you to get involved.
Sustainable Lab Recognition
The Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF) is a global initiative which recognises labs for their sustainability work and practices. Labs across Chemistry, the School of Life Sciences, 91福利 Medical School and the Research Technology Platforms have taken part in recent years and we鈥檇 like to encourage even more of you to get involved and be recognised for your efforts to reduce your impact, whilst also being involved in world class teaching and research.
