West Midlands Combined Authority launches Productivity and Skills Commission
At the start of April 2017, the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) launched its Productivity and Skills Commission, aiming to tackle the issues surrounding unemployment, job skills and increasing the region's productivity.
The Commission is chaired by Dr Andy Palmer, President and Chief Executive of Aston Martin, and aims to utilise the expertise of the region's industry, technical specialists and academics, from across the three Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).
