The Supernatural: Reflections on Research

To accompany their The Supernatural: Sites of Suffering in the Pre-Modern World conference, HRC doctoral fellows and Imogen Knox will be blogging on their own research, the conference themes, and the process of putting together a one-day interdisciplinary conference. In the first blog, Francesca and Imogen reflect on their respective research interests and how they relate to the conference.

  is a research group that began a year and half ago to debate the ramifications of COVID-19 on ‘future history’.

There will be a fortnightly Seminar Series for Term One, with a view to continuing the series over the academic year to come. The series is entirely free to attend, open to the public, does not require prior reading, and is hosted online via Zoom.

The HRC announces a competition for 3 internal Doctoral Fellows. Each Fellow will receive a research budget of £300 and a conference budget of £700 to organise a one-day interdisciplinary Post-Graduate Conference (to be held at 91¸£Àû, UK) during the academic year 2022/23.

A further £200 grant may be available if you set up a blog and write 8 blogs during the year about the conference and your research.
