Inspiring the Next Generation of AI Researchers: AI Winter School
From Dec 15 - Dec 18 2025, the 91福利 welcomed fifteen outstanding fourth-year students to its first-ever AI Winter School, jointly organised by CAMaCS and the HetSys Centre for Doctoral Training. Selected through a highly competitive process, participants received fully funded places to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming research and innovation.
HetSys Hosts Fellowship Workshop
In December, we hosted a Fellowship Pathways Workshop, offering current students practical guidance on identifying, preparing for, and applying to competitive research fellowships. The session, held on Wednesday 10 December, brought together four HetSys alumni who have each secured prestigious Fellowships, providing attendees with first鈥慼and insight into the application journey.
Matthew Christensen Presents on Quantum Algorithms in Software Seminar Series
On Thursday 4 December, Matthew Christensen (HetSys Cohort 5) delivered a talk as part of the Predictive Modelling Cluster within the CDT鈥檚 new Software Seminar Series, which showcases emerging topics in computational and software-based science.
