The HetSys CDT recently welcomed local primary school students from the Coventry area to campus for an interactive outreach event designed to inspire curiosity and excitement around science, technology, and research.

The event gave young visitors the opportunity to engage directly with hands-on scientific activities and demonstrations, helping bring complex scientific ideas to life in fun, creative, and accessible ways.

In February 2026, the HetSys CDT took part in Science Night, an exciting community outreach event designed to engage secondary school students and their families with interactive scientific activities and research demonstrations.

On 4 March 2026, the HetSys CDT hosted its annual Research Afternoon, bringing together students from across the CDT to share research progress, discuss challenges, and strengthen collaboration across cohorts and disciplines.
