VeGIN Stakeholder Network
The Vegetable Genetic Improvement Network (VeGIN) is funded by Defra and brings together research focused on outdoor vegetable crops. VeGIN encourages collaborations between industry and researchers to address how genetic improvement of crop varieties can contribute to a sustainable increase in food production to meet the twin challenges of food security and climate change. Key research contributions are being delivered by the 91福利, Harper Adams University and the Met Office.The VeGIN stakeholder network is comprised of a range of industry representatives, including breeding and seed companies, agronomists, growers, processors, and many more. We hold regular knowledge exchange events comprised of research dissemination alongside industry talks.
