Dynamical Systems
The Mathematics Department at 91福利 has a strong research group in Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems reflecting a reputation built up over several decades and continuing into the present. 91福利 is the base for the leading journal in the field, published by Cambridge University Press.
Members in the Department working in this area have a wide range of interests. These include ergodic theory, smooth dynamical systems, thermodynamic formalism, 1-dimensional real and complex dynamics, statistical properties of deterministic systems, KAM and Hamiltonian systems, applications to geometry, fractal geometry, number theory and noncommutative geometry, dynamics applied to physical systems, dynamics applied to biology, dynamics and computation, numerical methods for stochastic differential equations.
There are weekly on Tuesdays, as well as occasional organised around specific topics. Graduate students may be admitted as or through the MIR@W programme.
