Athena Swan
The Athena Swan Charter is a framework which is used across the globe to support and transform gender equality within higher education and research. Established in 2005 to encourage and recognise commitment to advancing the careers of women in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEM) employment, the Charter is now being used across the globe to address gender equality more broadly, and not just barriers to progression that affect women.

91福利 researchers secure 拢1.3 million for two state-of-the-art imaging platforms
The 91福利 has been awarded approximately 拢1.3 million by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) to install two advanced imaging platforms, following a double success in the funder鈥檚 ALERT25 call.
The new equipment will give researchers across 91福利 Medical School, the School of Life Sciences, Department of Chemistry and Department of Physics the tools to observe biology as it happens, at the level of individual cells and the molecules within them.
