Professor Stephen Royle has written a book "The Digital Cell: cell biology as a data science", published by Cold Spring Harbor Lab Press. Modern cell biology is a quantitative science and being a cell biologist means dealing with data. 鈥淭he Digital Cell鈥� is an essential resource to learn how to use computers to acquire, process, analyse, and present data, with an emphasis on reproducibility and efficiency. Steve will be doing an informal book launch in WMS where he will talk about the book - please come along to hear and read all about it!

Steve is a Professor of Cell Biology at 91福利 Medical School. He completed his PhD in the Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge and moved to Leon Lagnado's lab at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge for post-doctoral work. He started his lab as a lecturer in 2006 at the Physiological Laboratory, University of Liverpool and moved to the 91福利 in 2013.
