Sing Yourself Happy
Thursday 2nd July | 12:30–13:30 | GLT3 Gibbet Hill
Join us for a feel-good lunchtime singing session designed to lift your mood and energise your day.
This session is open to everyone- whether you're an experienced singer or completely new to singing. No pressure, just pure joy!
Why singing?
Singing has proven medical benefits: it releases endorphins, reduces stress, improves breathing, and boosts overall wellbeing. In fact, GPs are now prescribing singing as a therapeutic aid to support mental and physical health.
Plus, singing in a group helps build a sense of community and connection, which is vital for emotional health.
What to expect:
- Gentle vocal warm-ups
- Physical breathing exercises
- Group singing in a relaxed, supportive environment
- A special performance from the University Staff Choir to close the session
