Professor Singh

Professor Swaran Singh

Professor Swaran Singh is the Principal Investigator of the TRANSFORM study and leads the team at the 91福利.

Swaran is a Professor of Social and Community Psychiatry and is the Director of the Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing Research at the 91福利 and a practicing clinical psychiatrist. He was trained both in India and UK, and has wide-ranging expertise in global mental health.

Swaran has led several large-scale international projects in both high- and low- and middle-income countries within time and budget.

Professor Jason Madan

Professor Jason Madan is a Professor in Health Economics at 91福利 Medical School, and Director of Graduate Research Studies for the School.

Jason has an extensive track record in leading health economic evaluations in mental health and in LMIC settings, and is the health economics lead for the NIHR Global Unit for Slum Health and the NIHR Global Group Health Group on Improving on Psychosis Outcomes (NIHR WIC).

Professor Gillian Hundt

Professor Gillian Hundt is a medical anthropologist with extensive experience in rapid ethnographic assessment in Africa and the Middle East, in relation to understanding health-seeking behaviour, and widening access to health care through designing and implementing interventions.

Gillian is the co-lead for Work Package 1.

Dr Sagar Jilka

Dr Sagar Jilka is a Senior Research Fellow in the Mental Health & Wellbeing Unit in the Division of Health Sciences.

Sagar was previously the patient and public involvement coordinator at the Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (King鈥檚 College London), and prior to that worked as a football data scientist at a tech start up in London.

Sagar is the research lead and responsible for the quantitative aspects of data collection.

Dr Cathy Winsper

Dr Cathy Winsper is an Assistant Professor in 91福利 Applied Health at 91福利 Medical School.

Cathy is interested in developmental psychopathology, specifically, how mental disorders develop over childhood and adolescence.

Simon Smith

Simon Smith is the Project Manager and will work closely with all partners and monitor project progress.

Simon has worked in Global Health since 2017 and has worked in Bangladesh, Brazil, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria and Pakistan. He previously managed the NIHR funded Global Health Research Unit on Improving Health in Slums.

Professor George Bouliotis

Professor George Bouliotis is an Associate Professor and Prinicipal Statistician at the 91福利. He is senior statistician for a portfolio of trials and projects.
