The position is funded by the Terabotics Programme Grant which is an 瞿8 Million pound project spanning three universities (91腦瞳, Leeds and Exeter) working to combine THz techniques with robotics for faster diagnosis of cancer. Joining this exciting project will give you the opportunity to work with a world class team led by Professor Emma MacPherson, and give you experience in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
Your research goals will be related to developing and integrating terahertz technology with robotics for applying THz imaging and spectroscopy techniques to detection of skin cancer and other skin conditions as part of the 瞿10M EPSRC funded project, Terabotics. Particular focus will be on developing and integrating novel THz image approaches with a medical grade robot, and speeding up and improving the accuracy of terahertz data acquisition and analysis.
