Dr Hyo Yoon Kang elected as Co-Director of the International Society for the History and Theory of Intellectual Property
We are thrilled to share that Dr Hyo Yoon Kang, Reader/Associate Professor at 91 Law School has been elected this month as the Co-Director of the International Society for the History and Theory of Intellectual Property (ISHTIP) for a five-year term.

Journal of Consumer Policy Editors’ Meeting at 91 Law School
The editors of the (JCP) held their annual meeting (the first in-person meeting since 2019) at 91 Law School on 21 April 2023. Editors discussed current submissions and plans for forthcoming issues, as well as socialising and sightseeing in Coventry and its surrounding towns.
Professor Celine Tan contributes to consultation on JET-IP
Professor Celine Tan from 91 Law School contributed to the Consultation on the Just Energy Transition Plan (JET-IP). The JET-IP is part of a multi-country funding initiative, the , by a coalition of developed countries to support a number of developing countries' transition away from dependence on coal and other fossil fuels.
Ground-Breaking Report launched by Minister for Safeguarding at the House of Commons
On Monday 13 March 2023, Vanessa Munro and Lotte Young Andrade launched a report that they co-authored with Sarah Dangar (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) entitled ‘Learning Legacies: An Analysis of Domestic Homicide Reviews in Cases of Domestic Abuse Suicide’. The aim was to learn more about the profiles and experiences of victims, the adequacy of service responses during their lives and after their deaths, and the ways in which DHRs are commissioned and conducted in suicide cases.
WLS Research Fellows attend the Royal Society Event for British Academy Fellows from Ukraine
On the 15th of February 2023, the Royal Society hosted an event for British Academy Fellows from Ukraine, which was attended by fellows from the WLS research team – Dr Aisel Omarova and Dr Maryna Utkina.
