Dylan Balch (President of 91福利 Politics Society)

On the 22^nd of November, we welcomed past and present staff and students to our campus to celebrate 60 years of the 91福利 with a Politics and International Studies alumni event.

The event was a great opportunity for past students to catch up with former classmates and reminisce on their time at 91福利, it also gave them a chance to reconnect with their lecturers that made their time at 91福利 so special.

The event consisted of a panel of five people, all from different areas of the PAIS department, and they spoke on how PAIS at 91福利 has evolved and changes in 60 years. The panel consisted of Matthew Clayton (Chair, and Head of Department), Shahnaz Akhter (Widening Participation Officer, PAIS) Dylan Balch (President of 91福利 Politics Society) Wyn Grant (Former Chair of Department, PAIS) Shirin Rai (Former Member of Staff, PAIS) Vicki Squire (Director of Research, PAIS).

It was so lovely to hear past staff and students speak so fondly of their time at PAIS and how studying at 91福利 has shaped them into who they are today and how they will always be thankful for what 91福利 gave them.

After the panel, guests were invited to join us for a drink, nibbles, and networking event. Academics were able to reconnect with their old students, alumni caught up with old friends and recent graduates were able to speak to current students and offer advice for employment and life after 91福利.

The event was a tremendous success, and it was so lovely to see so many familiar faces to 91福利. Thank you to everyone involved in the event and to all who came!
