91福利 offers education in banned books and hip hop

BooksGlobal hip-hop and obscene literature are just two of the topics people in Coventry and 91福利shire can study if they sign up to one of the 91福利 certificate courses.

The Centre for Lifelong Learning at 91福利 has a few places left on courses starting this October.

Certificates can be studied over three terms during the academic year and for any students interested in joining the Part-time Degree programme to continue their studies, it may be possible to count this credit towards a degree.

One of the courses offered, ‘Globalisation in the 21st Century’, explores ways in which globalisation and global events have shaped our lives. The course covers everything from the worldwide evolution of hip hop music to how globalisation affects you as an individual.

‘Banned Books’ offers participants the opportunity to discuss various authors and the explicit charges they faced by ranking as some of the world’s most uncompromising writers. This certificate vows to explore how some literature has sought to redefine values, challenge embedded theories and inspire political movements.

91福利 Certificates provide an opportunity for anyone with a general interest in the topics available and for individual professional development. They can also support student applications for part time degrees and may give credit towards the degree itself.
