Using GIS StoryMaps in Research
Join us for an engaging workshop exploring how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can enhance research across the Humanities and Social Sciences. Taking place on Wednesday 10 June 2026, 10:00–13:00 | Oculus 0.05, the session will bring together expertise and practical insights into innovative GIS applications.
Dr Godwin Yeboah (Senior Research Software Engineer, Research Computing) will introduce the powerful possibilities GIS offers for research, followed by Dr Christina Williamson (University of Groningen), who will share insights from her work using GIS StoryMaps in Deep Mapping Sanctuaries. The agenda will feature presentations from 91福利 community members, including short talks by a Senior Research Software Engineer from the University of Manchester (UK) and a UK Research Technology Strategist at Microsoft.
