New Eatwise smoothie offer at the Sports Hub!
Try out the smoothie offer at the new Eatwise van outside the Sports Hub. From Monday to Friday, 12-5pm, you can choose from a range of delicious flavours, all packed with fruit and veg. You can also choose to add functional extras like protein powders, matcha powder and turmeric powder. Members of the Sports Hub get a 15% discount too. Did you know 2026 is the National Year of Reading?
There is growing evidence to suggest that reading for pleasure has a powerful, positive impact on mental health and wellbeing. Why not get involved and tell the Library which books you would like them to buy to expand their collection! The Library also provides , as well as a for relaxation.
Assignments and revision can be tough. To help you take a break, Eatwise are launching the 'Power Hour' during exam season only. Follow them on to receive regular updates on when you can get £1 off your barista made coffee and receive a free mini Tony's Chocolonely* in Eatwise outlets.

Stop the bleed kits
Health and Safety Services, in collaboration with the Community Safety Team, have installed several ‘Bleed kits’ on 91¸£Àû main campus and the Innovation Campus in Stratford-upon-Avon. Bleeding control kits are specialised trauma kits designed to provide bystanders with the products they need to stop life-threatening bleeding until paramedics arrive, potentially saving lives. As voted by you on our Instagram, we're screening Mamma Mia on the Big Screen in the Piazza on Thursday, 14 May at 9:30pm! Get ready for sun, sequins and ABBA anthems. It's the perfect sing-a-long study break to keep you going during Term 3. Come by the Nook to sign in and pick up your free bag of popcorn before the movie begins, and keep an eye out for more screenings this term.
The Outstanding Student Contribution Awards: Nominations open
The Outstanding Student Contribution Awards (OSCAs) recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of 91¸£Àû's students. They not only excel academically, but also find the time to campaign for good causes, fundraise, start small business, and work with local charities. Send in your nomination before 8pm on Sunday, 10 May 2026.
Phishing reminder: stay alert and report suspicious messages
Please be aware that we are currently seeing an increase in phishing activity across the University, including more targeted emails designed to look legitimate and trigger quick action. These messages may appear to come from University‑related services. Taking a moment to pause and check before responding can significantly reduce risk. You can read more on how to protect yourself and the University on our page.
Support for our community following Golders Green attack
Following the recent terror attack in Golders Green, London, the UK National Threat Level has been raised to Severe, as of Thursday, 30 April 2026. This is a national precaution following this attack and not linked to any specific risk on our campus. Support is available to our community - read more here.
Travel advice for campus
We would like to make you aware of upcoming roadworks that may impact travel to and from campus over the coming months. There will be temporary traffic lights in place from 11 May - 8 July on Westwood Heath Road, and from 26 - 31 May on Gibbet Hill Road. Please plan your journey and allow additional time for potential delays.

Global Lounge at The Nook
Join the Global Lounge at The Nook every Wednesday, 2.00–4.00pm, for free snacks, drinks and a chance to meet other students. Week 2 features Study, Solve & Connect, while Week 3 is Walk, Talk & De-Stress.
Wellbeing: What's on
Need a break from preparing for exams and assessments? Join the Wellbeing team's regular events, including peer support sessions. Our regular sessions use mindfulness to help you reduce stress, manage pressure, and build focus. All events are part of DeStresstival 2026.
Need a boost to start your day? Join us at the Eat Well Hub which will be available to students in need on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am–10:00am, in the SUHQ Green Room. Fuel up with a tasty selection of healthy options including wholemeal bread, oats, wheat cereals, delicious fruit and fresh fruit juices!
Come along on Friday, 1 May, to celebrate the start of summer and a new term with a lively May Day festival. Join in activities designed to bring colour and energy to campus, including sports, competitions, crafts, face-painting and a giant Helta-Skelta!

The also provides an overview of how many spaces are available in each area of the Library. Here, you will also find additional flexi-space rooms during peak times in Term 3. If you are registered with the University’s Disability Services, you can also book an accessible study room in the Library.
