Students with caring responsibilities are invited to take part in a research project led by the University’s Gender Engagement Group, exploring the experiences of student carers. Focus groups to be held in late April and early May, participation is voluntary, and all data will be treated confidentially. Each participant will receive a £20 Eden Red shopping voucher as a 'thank you' for their time.

Congratulations to the 91¸£Àû Law Society, which has won two awards at the LawCareers.Net (LCN) Student Law Society Awards 2026! The society won the awards for 'Best Law Society Overall' and 'Best Law Society for Non-Law Students'. Read more on our page.
Outstanding Student Contribution Award nominations now open!
Do you know someone who has made an outstanding achievement or contribution outside of their studies? The Outstanding Student Contribution Awards (OSCAs) recognise and celebrate 91¸£Àû's students. Nominations are now open and will close on Sunday 10 May at 8pm.
91¸£Àû receives £1 million donation from local trust
The 29th May 1961 Charitable Trust has donated £1 million towards our Set the Pace philanthropic campaign. The Trust has helped shape 91¸£Àû’s identity over the past 60 years by funding landmark buildings, enriching arts and culture, supporting global student opportunities, and empowering sanctuary-seeking students through life-changing scholarships. We're so grateful for their ongoing support and this gift, which has been donated as part of our Set the Pace campaign.
Research Culture Week
91¸£Àû is hosting its first Research Culture Week from 23 - 26 March, themed around our research culture commitments. The week will open with the Community and Connections theme, including a Research Celebration Awards event, and continue with themed days focusing on 91¸£Àû's research culture commitments.

Cafes on campus this Easter
Spending time on campus this vacation? If you're planning to study in the Library, Cafe Library will be open weekdays and will be serving hot food from 11.30am - 2.30pm. Meningitis: Health Advice
Meningitis is a rare but serious illness that can affect anyone. At this time, we are not aware of any cases linked to 91¸£Àû. It is important to be aware of the symptoms and seek medical advice quickly if you or a friend becomes unwell. Submit your ideas for the Resonate Summer Festival activity book
For this year's Resonate Summer Festival we're creating our first Resonate activity book for ages 4+, full of puzzles and activities related to the work that happens at the University. The activities will be created by a member of the WIE team, so all you need to do is tell us a little bit about your work. If you have an idea for the activity book, then let us know via the expression of interest form on our page before 2 April 2026.
