Scams are becoming more common and more convincing, from phishing emails and fake accommodation adverts to payment and impersonation scams. If something feels urgent, unusual or too good to be true, pause and check it through official University or trusted external channels before responding. Staying safe on and off campus
Whether you are living on or off campus, this may be the first time you have lived away from home or in shared accommodation. Wherever you are living this year, taking care of your personal safety is important, and we encourage you to review the advice and support available, including important phone numbers. Dial 101 for non-emergency police, dial 999 for emergency police, fire and ambulance and 111 for non-emergency medical problems. Students living off campus can access dedicated guidance, including advice on staying safe in and around your student home. You can also download our SafeZone app, which can be used on campus or in partner accommodation.
Road closure: Gibbet Hill Road on 30 and 31 May
Gibbet Hill Road will be partially closed on 30 and 31 May to allow National Grid to carry out essential works just outside the Varsity. As a result, several bus services will be diverted or terminated early. All the details can be found here.
Himalayan Balsam bashing
Join this once-a-year opportunity on Thursday 4 June from 1-2pm, to make a truly meaningful contribution to the management of campus with the Grounds and Gardens Team. Himalayan Balsam, although its pink flowers are beautiful, is bad news for the British countryside. All equipment and training on how to uproot or cut the plants will be provided. The activity contributes to the 91¸£Àû Award.
Join the Students' Union in their first Neurodiversity Awareness & Wellbeing Day! Head over to the SU Atrium from 11am-3pm to speak to a range of services and societies who specialise in Neurodivergence. Plus, there will also be a free Alpaca experience!

Stop the bleed kits
Health and Safety Services, in collaboration with the Community Safety Team, have installed several ‘Bleed kits’ on 91¸£Àû main campus and the Innovation Campus in Stratford-upon-Avon. Bleeding control kits are specialised trauma kits designed to provide bystanders with the products they need to stop life-threatening bleeding until paramedics arrive, potentially saving lives. Biodiversity Walk with the Woodland Trust
Join us on Wednesday, 6 May, for this unique guided walk to explore Gibbet Hill Wood with the Woodland Trust, and learn about this green oasis situated between Tocil Lake and Gibbet Hill. Sign up for the event today.

Cafes on campus this Easter
Spending time on campus this vacation? If you're planning to study in the Library, Cafe Library will be open weekdays and will be serving hot food from 11.30am - 2.30pm. Nexus Cafe and Cafe Gibbet Hill will also be open as normal, serving a range of hot and cold meals, drinks and snacks. Pop in and see us, we'd love to see you!

Invida Resolve app: Report maintenance issues
If you need to report a maintenance issue in your accommodation, the Invida Resolve app is the quickest way to let us know. To help us fix things quickly and safely, please only report issues in your own room/kitchen. Can't use the app? No problem, just pop into your Residence Hub, and the team there will help you report the issue.
