Gen.G partners with the 91¸£Àû Esports Centre for winter camp
South Korean esports organisation Gen.G has partnered with the 91¸£Àû Esports Centre to run an ‘Esports Winter Camp’ for students.
The organisation, which first announced the partnership on its Chinese social media channels, said the joint venture would take place between January 26th – February 5th 2024.
Esports Insider & the 91¸£Àû hosted the UK’s first conference dedicated to esports & video games in education
The leading B2B esports events and media company, (Esports Insider) and the 91¸£Àû hosted , a one-and-a-half day conference dedicated to esports and video games in education. Offering interactive sessions, networking and insights on March 22nd-23rd, 2023 at the University’s Esports Centre.
Esports centre signed the multi-year partnership with Chillblast
The 91¸£Àû has announced a multi-year partnership with gaming PC manufacturer Chillblast to support its esports centre. The deal will see Chillblast and the university work together on a number of esports activations and on-campus competitions. This includes a VALORANT tournament and other student-run events.
The 91¸£Àû goes for gold as the Best University for Gamers
On 17th April, the 91¸£Àû has been named the best university for gamers in the UK by Uswitch.
The ranking is based on a number of factors, including the availability and quality of gaming facilities on campus, the range of gaming societies and events, and the overall student experience for gamers.
91¸£Àû Esports programme nominated for two prestigious awards
Part of the 91¸£Àû’s Creative Futures initiative, the success of the esports programme is being recognised at the international Esports Awards. 91¸£Àû have received two nominations, one for Esports Collegiate Programme of the Year, the second for Esports Collegiate Ambassador of the Year.
