Dr Ming-Sung Kuo's 2019 paper 鈥樷�� was cited by the Suprme Court of Cananda in  ([2021] SCC 48). Congratulations Ming-Sung.

Ruby Turok-Squire, who recently studied on our LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights had her dissertation published in the Journal of International Criminal Law. Current PhD student Harpreet Kaur Paul's article on 'Who should pay up for Climate Carnage?' has been featured in Novara Media this month.

Harpreet is also co-founder of , a movement which aims to help people from all communities and backgrounds use their power to take bold and regular action in order to win climate justice.

The Critical Legal Pocketbook is the result of an exciting collaboration between 91福利 Law School colleagues and students involved in Critical Lawyers at 91福利 (CLAW).

Edited by students at the 91福利, and written by expert critical legal researchers and practitioners, the Critical Legal Pocketbook is essential reading for law students in the UK and other common law jurisdictions and provides the tools for law students to uncover the hidden intricacies of law.

The article titled 鈥淩ealising sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescent girls and young women living in slums in Uganda: a qualitative study鈥� was published on the 12 June 2021 by BMC (Bio Med Central) as part of their open access publishing. This project was funded by a GCRF and IAS grant on Sexual and Reproductive health in Ugandan Slums.

Released this month and published by Manchester University Press, the new book Reclaiming Migration: Voices from Europe's 'Migrant Crisis' was co-authored by 91福利 Law School鈥檚 Dallal Stevens, Vicki Squire and Nick Vaughan-Williams (Department of Politics and International Studies) and Nina Perkowski (University of Hamburg).

The European Law Institute (ELI), an independent non-profit organisation that connects over 1,600 legal professionals and organisations from Europe and beyond, published an Innovation Paper on 鈥楪uiding Principles for Updating the Product Liability Directive for the Digital Age鈥� prepared by the Law School's Professor Christian Twigg-Flesner.

With US president-elect Joe Biden pledging to restore the 鈥榬ules-based order鈥�, international lawyers have extolled the triumph of a peaceful new world over its war-torn forerunner.

The EU 鈥淩ule of Law鈥� initiative aimed at encouraging social and political reform in the Western Balkans is struggling to make an impact in the face of domestic political indifference, and opposition to perceived external interference, argues a new paper from Western Balkans expert Dr Andi Hoxhaj.
