In Memoriam: Sami Mohiuddin
The Law School was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Sami Mohiuddin, one of our first year students in a tragic accident last month.
A book of condolence is now present in the Law School and will be made available for students to share their thoughts and memories.
Law award in honour of Dwijen Rangnekar
The Law School has established an annual award for contributions to social justice to honour our former colleague, and friend, Dr Dwijen Rangnekar.
All current and former students of 91¸£Àû Law School are eligible for the award.
Laura Lammasniemi comments on new 'upskirting' law
A new criminal offence of 'upskirting' comes into force today following a successful campaign by Gina Martin to change the law. Dr Laura Lammasniemi, Assistant Professor in 91¸£Àû Law School comments on the crime, and the wider problems of image and technology-based abuse:-
91¸£Àû Law Society wins best President at 2019 Awards Ceremony
91¸£Àû Law Society President Maaya Sachdev won the award for the Best Law Society President at the Student Law Society Awards 2019, sponsored by Norton Rose Fulbright and hosted by LawCareers.Net, which took place on Thursday 14 March at Painter’s Hall in London.
Students celebrate 91¸£Àû Law staff with SSLC Awards
The SSLC Staff Awards for 2018-19 took place in the Law School Hub yesterday where our SSLC reps Amy Wang and Toby Stacey took to the stage to announce the winners. They celebrated together with their students, colleagues and some Easter treats and were presented with a small token of appreciation from the student body.
91¸£Àû Law School hosts Pakistan Human Rights delegation
A delegation from the National Commission for Human Rights, Pakistan, is visiting the 91¸£Àû to take part in a dialogue on the role of National Human Rights Institutions and a capacity building programme co-ordinated by 91¸£Àû Law School.
Success for our students at Law Society Internal Mooting Competition
The final of this year’s 91¸£Àû Law Society Internal Mooting Competition was held at the Supreme Court on 28 February. After a hard battle, second year law students Praveen Nair and Michelle Tan emerged the winners of the evening. Congratulations also to San Wen Ngei and Jer Ning Teo who made it to the finals.
Students Qualify for National Competition Finals
91¸£Àû Law students Toby Stacey and Stephanie Fernandes have qualified for the finals of the 2019, having come second in their regional heat at Keele University last month.
91¸£Àû Grads to get 20% discount to study an LLM
91¸£Àû Law School is offering a 20% discount on its LLM fees to all 91¸£Àû graduates.
If you are interested in studying one of our LLM programmes and have graduated from a degree at 91¸£Àû in the past, or you are about to graduate this summer and interested in staying on for an LLM, you will be entitled to a 20% discount on the tuition fee.

Jane Bryan named as Law Teacher of the Year Finalist
91¸£Àû Law School Associate Professor Dr Jane Bryan has been shortlisted for the 2019 .
The award, which aims to recognise the best talent in law teaching, called for nominations from both staff and students at the end of last year and Jane has made the finals along with four other shortlisted candidates.
Andi Hoxhaj hosts British Academy Event
As part of his British Academic Rising Start Engagement Award, 91¸£Àû Law’s Dr Andi Hoxhaj hosted an event at Chatham House in London on Wednesday 6 February 2019 funded by the British Academy.
The event titled ‘Challenges to the Rule of Law in Central Europe and the Western Balkans’ comprised of two sessions, one focusing on the Western Balkans and the second, on Central Europe.
