Sgt Jonathan Benjamin receives 91¸£Àû Policy Hub Fellowship

Sergeant Jonathan Benjamin of West Midlands Police has been awarded a 91¸£Àû Policy Hub Fellowship. He has been working with Professor Jackie Hodgson (Law), Dr Rachel Lewis (Sociology) and Dr Ruth Bernatek (Law) on their research and impact work using innovative arts-led approaches to challenge racist attitudes and behaviours within the police. As an in-residence Policy Fellow, Jonathan will be able to further this engagement, including with the Centre for Operational Police Research, COPR.

Jackie Hodgson to showcase film ‘Emerging from Lockdown’ at the Resonate Festival

91¸£Àû Law School’s Professor Jackie Hodgson and colleagues from the ‘Emerging from Lockdown’ research and creative team will be screening their new film at the Resonate Festival on Wednesday 16th March at Holy Trinity Church in Coventry, exploring feelings of freedom and the policing of the pandemic.

COPR Final Report on Public Confidence and Crime Reduction

In January 2019, the Centre for Operational Police Research (COPR) released their final report on Public Confidence and Crime Reduction: The Impact of Forensic Property Marking.

The project was completed in co-operation with West Mercia Police and assessed a field trial involving over 20,000 households in the Telford area.
